| Momentum09 was to have been an International Creative Diversity Symposium held in Auckland, New Zealand in early 2009. Unfortunately the symposium was subject to financial impact by the global economic situation. The viability of original plans was put in doubt and the organisers decided to postpone the four day international event in favour of a one day strategic meeting on Friday 27 February 2009. We are pleased to report that we had a very successful outcome. About 25 people came along to share the day, listen to Rodney Bell, Tom Shakespeare and Mat Fraser speak, and take part in the workshop session. The purpose of the day was two-fold first, to gain feedback about the future direction of Momentum as a Virtual Movement to promote creative diversity and, second, to test a format for gathering content for the Creative Momentum website.
